Biography
Stephanie W. Gatewood
Candidate for Juvenile Court Clerk
As a member of a military family, Stephanie grew up traveling to various cities, an experience that has helped her to embrace and appreciate diversity. Born to the parents of an Educator, and a career Army 1st sergeant; she learned the value of hard work, integrity, and interpersonal skills. Mrs.Gatewood is also a mother, grandmother, and voice for the voiceless. She has 2 adult children.
Stephanie is currently a candidate for Shelby County Juvenile Court Clerk. She is degreed in Public Administration and Organizational Leadership. She also runs her own non-profit; Empower Me! Teaching skills of empowerment to men and women in the midsouth.
Serving 2 full terms as an elected School Board Commissioner, Stephanie served in a leadership role as Vice President of the board in 2009.

Her extensive expertise in Governance, over 7 years working in a community school, working with the justice involved community and various other community organizations has given her the experience to return to public service.She is also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
When elected to Juvenile Court Clerk, the following areas will be her focus: Accountability Respect Compassionate Customer Service Communication Collaboration
